Biography

Mario Dias, classical pianist, holds a prominent position in the Brazilian music scene. He is renowned for his interpretations of Brazil's foremost classical composers. Essentialy self-taught, at 16 he was a student of Jorge Preiss. After one year, he began performing before audiences. He was 19 when became a pupil of Ione Urbano Sant'Anna at the Santa Catarina State University. Later, he studied for four years with the pianist Alberto Heller. He attended workshops and master classes from renowned teachers. He has appeared in recitals in Brazil: Joinville, Jaraguá do Sul, Itajaí, Florianópolis, Aracaju. He has played in Cyprus in 2017 and 2025.
